When will the Skate Park Open?
The skate park is now open 7 days a week, WEATHER PERMITTING
Why is the main building closed?

The main building is being renovated; we will be shut down 9-12 months. A new High School size gym will be added to the north-west corner of the building, locker rooms are being upgraded and additional work is being done.

Where can I register?

We have office locations on site. We are located in the small adjacent clinic building. Enter in the West double doors, our office is on the left (north) side.

Our phone number has not changed, 561-0075.
What are the office hours?

Monday - Friday 7 am -6 pm

Saturday 10-3 pm

What programs are being offered if the building is shut down?

All youth sports are still being offered; some being offered off site. Adult Softball and Adult volleyball are still being offered.

The only programs that are not occurring are classes, fitness room, open gym and adult basketball.

Where did the computer lab go?
The computer lab is now located at the Midvale Boys and Girls club. 7631 Chapel St. Phone 256-9008
Skate Park rules:

1. Skate at your own risk. This park is a non-supervised facility.

2. Skateboarding and skating are hazardous recreational activities. Use of this facility may result in death, paralysis, brain damage, concussion, broken bones or other serious injury. Any use is at your own risk. Salt Lake County and Midvale City do not assume any responsibility for injuries.

3. The use of protective equipment, including helmets, knee and elbow pads and wrist guards is strongly recommended.

4. This is your skate park, Please take care of it. tagging, graffiti or abuse is not permitted.

5. Be Respectful of other park users: moderate your language and keep music volume low.

6. Use trash containers provided, alcohol, tobacco products, drugs and glass containers are not allowed.

7. Do not use when the surface is wet.

8. No motorized vehicles or bikes allowed.

Dawn to Dusk; approximately 7 am - 6 PM
Are there any job openings?

We are now taking applications for fall and winter sports programs.

We are looking for an adult [over the age of 25] to open and close the skate park 7 days a week. If interested please call 561-0075.

If you have a suggestion for classes to be offered at Copperview once we reopen, please go to the 'contact us' button above and email any of us. If you would like to teach a class or program here, please do the same. We want to meet the needs of the community.
What if I cannot afford the fee for my child to participate?

WE WANT ALL CHILDREN TO PLAY!

For youth sports that are offered County wide, Salt Lake County Parks & Recreation offers 'free and reduced lunch' rates. To receive this rate you must present a copy of the National School Lunch Program / Jordan School District Eligibility letter at the time of in person registration. If you do not know if you qualify, please speak to your child's school secretary or principal.

Scholarships are also available, but these are limited to three per calendar year. Medicare or Horizon card are needed as proof of eligibility at the time of in person registration.

Can I register by mail?
Yes! Mail your completed registration form and check, made out to Salt Lake County to the address above. Please include your driver license number on the check. If you are requesting a reduced rate for a program, please come in or call and speak to the coordinator over the program.
