Ski and Snowboard
Registration starts in October. Program runs December and January; six lessons total. Lessons are taught at Snowbird. Fee is $240 per participant. Youth must be at least eight years old to snowboard in this program; 3rd graders may participate if they are eight. Pick up locations is determined by the number of registrations by school.
We are also looking for staff that are available from 4:00 to 8:00 on Fridays to accompany the children on the bus ride. If you are available please call Emily at 561-0075.
Indoor Soccer
Due to the current renovations our Winter Indoor Soccer league will be played in Summer of 2009 in our brand new gymnasium!! Check back in April for more information.
Basketball
Jr. Jazz
3rd - 6th grade program: is a recreational, youth COED basketball program. Participants will learn basic basketball skills and rules in game settings. Games will be played on Wednesday nights at Hillcrest High School (7350 S 900 E). Due to the limited gym space we have been given by Jordan School District we are unable to offer practice times this season. Organization day will be December 3rd with games starting December 10th.
Each participant will receive 2 tickets to the November 19th Utah Jazz game.
7th/8th Grade program: Due to the limited gym space we have been given by Jordan School District we are unable to offer this program this season. Look for this program to return for the 2009-2010 season in a brand new gymnasium at Copperview Recreation Center. We look forward to having you back then.

Sr. League Jr. Jazz - 9th-12th grade program.
This program is designed to be a recreational basketball league for young adults in grades 9-12. The emphasis is fun, fair play, skill development and teamwork. Games will be played on Saturday's. If you sign up as a team you must have a minimum of 8 players or other players will be added to your team.
We are also looking for scorekeepers and site supervisors for this program. Must be over the age of 18 and have experience with Basketball. If intrested please call Emily at 561-0075 or e-mail at eharrop@slco.org
SPRING PROGRAMS
Spring Outdoor:
Spring Outdoor Soccer includes full uniform, 8 games, 2 Real Tickets, Real Player appearance, and award. Games will be played at Midvalley Elementary and Midvale Park. There will be four weeknight and 4 Saturday games. Call 561-0075 for questions.

Summer Tiny-Tikes:
A fun Outdoor Summer Soccer Program for ages 3-6 years. The focus on tiny tikes is fun and skill building. kids will receive 6 games, t-shirt, and participation award.
Spring and Summer Tee-Ball :
This is a recreational program that focus is on fun and skill building. Games are played at Silver Mesa Elementary School (8920 S 1700 E). All games are played on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Games start in June. Program is for boys and girls ages 3-5.
Spring and Summer Coach Pitch
This program is a recreational that is focused on fun and skill building. Games are played at Silver Mesa Elementary (8920 S 1700 E). All games are played on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Program for boys and girls ages 6-8.
Spring and Summer Baseball:
A noncompetitive league in which payers learn the rules and basic skills of baseball with an emphasis on fun and sportsmanship. Children 8-12 are eligible to play in this league. Games will be on Tuesday and Thursday Evenings. Games will be played at Silver Mesa Elementary School (8920 South 1700 East). Fee will include clinic, games, team shirt, hat, Bees Tickets, participation award, and player appearance.
Tennis
Tennis lessons are offered June - August, at Big Bear Park. Pre-registration is required. The fee is $31 for five 50 minutes lessons. Reduce fees are available for those that qualify. Lessons will be taught in a group setting classes limited to six players. Classes levels are Beginner, Advanced Beginner and Intermediate.

Instructional golf lessons are held at Mountain View Golf Course (8660 S 2400 W). Clinics run Monday-Thursday for 60 minutes. Clinics teach the basics of golf so participants can become comfortable on the golf course. Clinics are staged so players can take more than one session and advance their skill level. Session dates and time vary. Participants receive 4 hours of instruction and Jr.Golf participant package. NO EQUIPMENT NEEDED. Fee: $40.00 per session.

Flag Football
This is a coed, non-contact football league for children 1st-6th grade. The focus of this program is to teach children the fundamentals of football in a fun and fair setting. Games are played Wednesday evening and Saturday morning. All games are played at Copperview Recreation Center. Registration fee ($36.00) includes 8 games, flag belt, jersey, and participation award. Registration deadline is September 13th.Volunteer coaches are needed to coach teams. If interested in coaching please call 561-0075.

Roller Hockey
This is a recreational, co-ed youth roller hockey league for children 7-13 yrs old. Ages are broken up into a Junior League (7-10 yr olds) and Senior League (10-13 yr olds). Focus is on fun and skill building. Games are played on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Big Bear Park (9695 S 930 E ). Registration deadline is August 29th. Registration fee ($30.00) includes: 8 games, t-shirt, and participation award. Equipment required: Helmet (bike helmet is ok), mouth guard, roller blades, and hockey stick.
